The Post-Op Shoulder Playbook: Protocols, Progression and Best Practices

This course is designed for physical therapists and physical therapist assistants seeking to enhance their clinical expertise in the post-operative management of shoulder surgical procedures as well as advancements in surgical techniques. Through a combination of lecture, case study analysis, and hands-on lab sessions, participants will develop a deeper understanding of the biomechanical, surgical, and healing considerations that influence rehabilitation outcomes following rotator cuff repair, total shoulder arthroplasty, and labral repair. 

Participants will learn to design and implement safe, progressive, and evidence-based rehabilitation programs tailored to each surgical procedure and patient population. Emphasis will be placed on clinical decision-making, recognizing post-operative complications, managing tissue healing timelines, restoring mobility and strength, and facilitating a return to optimal function.
